It has a center door that swings in either direction, four non-skid mounting pads to protect your woodwork and a pressure fit that can't be beat. There's even a special pressure gauge so you can test for a secure fit. An easy release handle lets adults open and lock the gate with only one hand. The Beechwood gate measures 29 1/2" high and fits openings 28" to 35 3/4" wide. Extensions can be added for openings up to 47". Optional spindle adapter kit can be used for pressure mounting to balusters. Not recommended for installation at top of stairs. (See #2240 for different colors of a metal version of this gate.)
